GOLDEN AGE

Dear Reader,

Today I woke up kinda late which is 5:30am , considering where I live and how long it takes me to get dressed trust me I was super late. So I got a mat and they were playing some really old school music. The DJ had dubbed his mix tape the golden age. The mix tape featured really nice jams from back in the day like SWV, Janet Jackson, Brandy songs , you know. Apart from the music the makeup these girls had on was on point  , very different from what we have been seeing of late.

(My favorite retro shades lime crime lipstick in the shade asphat and mirage and Sleek cream lipstick in the shades chocolate summer and gold , not forgetting my Constance  Carrol lip gloss. )

These days everybody is into that Kylie generic look , everything is matte or nude with the same pose oh gosh like what happened to creativity. That aside I really have been into some golden shades whether it's an eye shadow palette, a lipstick ,nail polish am generally just feeling the golds. So this mix tape just made me realize where my style has been gearing towards.

Let me just tell you guys the next trend is the golden age trend am guessing that will have to be the 80’s and 90’s . Am really feeling this looks the dark lipsticks , for example like the passion purple  if that is even a thing lol, but the 90’s are back to haunt us. Even if you look at the dress code the trends are clearly 90’s and I feel like make up will soon follow suit. That's just my prediction for you trend setters out there thank me later.

So for this post I basically incorporated some of my looks that I felt were taking me back to my mum’s era and I feel like am going to be rocking this looks for a while and then when people finally get the memo I will be into something totally different, I mentioned I hate looking like everyone I don’t mind being the black sheep.
